American Goshawk Surveys

Assisted grad student at Colorado State University - Pueblo on northern goshawk field research. This field work was preliminary work trying to find goshawks to establish a population number to inform future timber projects on BLM land. Gained back country navigation and acoustic monitoring skills.

Denver Zoo - Bison Project

Traveled to New Mexico with Denver Zoo to compare the affects of bison and cattle on native wildlife and ecosystems. Learned how to set up and check small mammal traps, how to process, tag, and record small mammals. This work led to the creation of Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge.
