Bobolink Monitoring
Led monitoring of Bobolink population in Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park to assist with management decisions on when to hay certain fields within park boundaries to avoid further stress on local Bobolink population.
Salamander Monitoring
Led deployment of Salamander Coverboard Transect study at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller and Saint-Gaudens National Historical Parks. Partnering with SPARCnet and local schools in a community science effort, the plan is to monitor salamander populations at both park to understand the effects of invasive species encroachment, specifically Hemlock Woolly Adelgid and Eastern Ash Borer.
Bird Surveys
Participated in I&M Bird Point Survey counts at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. This data is part of an ongoing I&M study on the population trends of nesting birds within the park.
Joined several HMANA Hawkwatching counts during Fall Migration season
Assisted with Raptor Trapping and Banding research in Addison County, VT with Vermont Institute of Nature and Science
Fostered partnership and coordinated Broad-wing Hawk research project between Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller, Vermont Institute of Nature and Science, and Hawk Mountain to trap, band, and geolocate nesting BWHA in Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller forests
